We bought it last year from Syncrospares. It has had a major resto. Apparently the Viponds bought it when it was in the point of being scrapped and broken for parts. They then decided it was too good to break and seem to have done a pretty good job of the resto.
It was originally registered in Belgium and has a second ID plate above the right hand front wheel arch next to the passenger seat.
The previous owner came from Pulborough and may even be on this forum.
So far we have been pretty pleased considering it is 24 years old. It performed very well in the snow. There have been one or two issues with the 4wd but hopefully these are sorted. Only major problem was a month ago when we lost drive. Turned out to be a CV joint that had come unbolted and mullered itself. I've replaced the CV with a Brickwerx HD one although I am still regularly checking the bolts with a torque wrench.
The plan is to enjoy it this summer and then look at alternative engine options over the winter. At present I have driven Rollercoaster's EJ22 Syncro and that was a revelation. I'm looking to to try an MTdi as well as they seem to get a good press - I've had a good look at the Wiki and various forums so its going to be a tough decision. Its very definately a keeper so we want to make sure we get this right.
Any info on the history gratefully received.

Thanks very much,
Pete & Ali
PS This is also my first go at uploading pics via Photobucket - I hope they have worked and that I haven't used too much space etc
