The real gear is really a combined sound deadener / impact protection (got it on our syncro'velle) and I think it was a 2-pack expanding formulation, sprayed on. It's still rubbery and compliant aftre 25 years!
You'd need to ask an old-school bodyshop or a paintshop supplier like Brown Bros. They'd know.

Bored of a barrage of people asking for it I've bought a couple of cases.
They will be on the shop middle of next week.
Plummed for Aerosols, figured they would be more use to the DIYers
500ml, I think by the time carriage and and VAT were added they ended up just short of a tenner.
Postage was quite expensive so I've had to buy quite a bit to spread the cost out to make the item price easier to swallow.
