Hi Neil, do you know the lanes well, as in 'where the holes are'?
yes i know the lane quite well but the are always changing, should not be any problems on them as jed and i went out last year in the snow, i would say that my trip back from kent along the a25 this everening was a harder drive than the lanes this comming saturday. well at least the lanes wont be scattered with cars.
oh could the people that are planning on coming please pm me (with there telephone no) or add there names on this post.
nick i just got a new phone and have lost phone number
I've just used the syncro to go out "grit raiding" as there's no way the council are going to bother with our side roads (I'm thinking of the old ladies living in the close)
Tarp on floor. Shovel in back. Dog in cab.
There are only two in the whole village and one of those is on the hill for the infant's school, so I had a barrowful from the other one
My arms are dropping off from flinging handfuls of rock salt

just been out in the deep stuff.
Got there before the snow plough. and managed a massive thumbs up
from my 17 year old and two of his mates. Bouncing off the snow banks
was mental. Some of the drifts were 3ft deep and we powered through them.
Was working overtime with the steering though.
Once we were in there was no going back.
Bring it on!

That is simply irresponsible ........ I love it! I love being a kid ...... I spent a few hours last night drifting around an industrial estate in Dublin with my 24 year old, me in the Syncro and him in his 4motion Passat.
As of midday today we have 13" of snow ...... the deepest in living memory in this part of the country!
Well the grit raid was a waste of time as it started snowing as I was part-way down the close (I was good and did the junction at the top first, well it was a sheet of black ice...) More importantly: engine bars and pushrod tinware re-fitted just now! Good to go!
Blimey it's chilly, even with old carpet under one's back...
