left or right awning

Post by moggymorgan »

hi all, hope i am not being daft or owt but is there a diferance between left hand drive awnings and right hand drive. the reason i am asking is that on my right hand drive 1980 devon when i put the tunnel awning on the sliding door when open is outside the awning. ok when its dry but would be a real prob when its raining. dont want all the door cards getting soaked. thanks for any help.

Moggy
Not sure if this is your problem

I had a problem with the Kyham tourer awning. The only position the inner tent could be placed was the same side as the front end of the vehicle meaning you stepped out from the van directly onto it . I guess its that kyham is mainly built for lefties as my friends left hand drive T4 worked.
I have now moved onto a Quechua Base Tent as my awning. Took it out for the first time last week and it worked a dream. Admittly it does not attache to the Van but I have a roof rack and the hassle of connecting after a day at the beach was becoming a pain. ( cost beer drinking time ). Plus all attachments leak. If any one can explain how to upload a picture I can post it
