I will of course be going for two leisure batteries as well as the starter battery. My camper will have a higher drain than most due to Espacher water heating system and also a compressor only fridge plus mrs Guzzi’s unprecedented electrical do-da usage. This being the case i can still see an emergency situation where all will be flat. I have managed to flatten my car battery twice this year, idiotic i know but possible. As to solar panels, i did look into them but to be honest you don’t get much for £200 (although its getting much better these days) plus arnt thay a little delicate? (i hve no experiance realy)
Really I’m clutching at straws, as far as I’m a concerned i am much happier with a completely independent system. As to petrol, 1 litre should give a good hours running time at least so easy to just stash away....
Personally, over the last few years, i can think of plenty of occasions where this would have been a real help
Plus (as I mutter about on mu Syncro post) you can never have too many engines!
