Hi to all.
When we have heavy rain, I get little puddles in either side of the cab (and yes it is rain water) I have tried sealing the windscreen, and think I have done a good job, but wonder if it might be coming in from elsewhere. Or should I replace the seal?? And how easy is that for someone with no experience?
Any ideas.
Cheers

Check there are no rust holes under the rubber in the bottom corners of the screen. You can lift it up enough to see.

Re: Water in footwells
before you go down the route of removing your screen which is a bit of a pain in the a***.
check that your windscreen washer jets are not loose as water seeps in past them you can seal around them with a little clear silicone.
if your screen needs to come out then it may be woth the assistance of a pro to refit. you may find that the metal work around the screen has rusted through do you have any streaks of rust on the inside of the front of the van or visable rust bubbles around the rubber on the outside?
if not then you could just have an accident and claim for a new screen and have a spare new rubber available for the fitter!!

Re: Water in footwells
You didn't mention what type of van you have..if its a camper i would then take it has a high top..the roof is sealed along the gutter between the fibre glass and metal gutter. i would put money on the water running down the gutter and getting under it. it then runs down to the front and then gets under the top of the window seal and runs around the window and drips into the foot wells...i have a holdsworth 4 birth with a high top. i have changed the window seal and it still gets in...got on a set of steps and looked down the length of the van along the gutter, i found it damaged in a couple of places..if the van is parked on a backwards slope no water..forward slope wet floor...bingo..have a look at the gutter and the mastic sealing the roof to it.
