Re: blue smoke
Ya an over fill would make it smoke and also check what grade oil they put in it....I would be taking it back first thing in the morning

Mmm what's that strange smell from my exhaust...

drain and refill, 10 minute job tops for petrol. An INCH over the fill? there are two marks on the dipsick, if it is an inch over the top mark then the previous oil wasn't drained before filling.

Re: blue smoke
Go back to the garage and ask for an explanation, give them the opportunity to put it right, if you do anything yourself and it has caused problems you will not have any recourse on the garage, it could be just a genuine mistake, all they have done is overfilled it, I doubt very much that they have put clean oil over old oil, all they will have to do is drain a bit of oil off, but let them do it and if they cannot give you a satisfactory explanation then do not use them again.
