What is this - i've broken it

Post by ringo »

Whilst removing the starter motor on my 1.7d engine i managed to snap off a pipe from something very near the top of the starter motor.

Im not sure what it is, but when it snapped there was a hiss (like leaking air). In the pipe there seems to be a valve and some paper.

Hopefully photos are attached.

Does anyone know what this is ? Im a bit of a plank.

I don't believe it. £60 for that and £75 for a starter motor.

Jees.

Cant find the link on GSF mind. Will keep looking.

Thanks for your help

Right:

Part No. 068145111A (3 bolt plate with connector).

£19.83 inc VAT. A lot better than the £60 !!!!

Thats from VW Vindis in Cambridge.

I will learn about editting wiki's when i get home later

Thanks for your help (and you can stay clear of the shed Mr Onion!).
