Telescopic Pushrods

Hi - I am just in the process of sorting out an oil leak and need to get hold of some telecopic pushrods; can anyone tell me where i can fin dthese as i don't want to do the whole engine rebuild thing :?:
If found point me to the pub then take me to the wedge

Just a note if anyone has a 2.0 Aircooled, you don't need telescopic as tubes can be changed via rocker covers. As to why VW didn't keep that feature on the watercooled we can only speculate....

They didn't put it on the 1.6 Aircooled either... Much to my disappointment! :evil: :D

Don't forget Status got robbed of most of their stock not long back so may not be available?


Plus they're cheaper from Machine7 and CSP.

Hi Steve, Rob and everyone that posted - just ordered Telescopic Push Rod Tubes from Machine 7 - doing a complete set of 8 tubes for £129.50 incl VAT and delivery thats a bit over £16.00 each good one :D Part number if anyone interested is 030.452.40 and they are in stock :ok

And better quality. Must admit most of the other bits on that page are in my bug :)

Personally, at £129 I'd strip the heads but for just over £60 I wouldn't bother. :wink:

The spring loaded ones at VW heritage are not available at the moment - apparently they have stopped making them (not sure if this is true or not)
