Cheers

Re: New jacking point
AH Schofield has had them made I seem to think.
Re: New jacking point
Jimmyt, the jacking point is not actually just a single part.. it's the whole structure in and around the front of the sill, above it, behind it etc, comprises up to 6 sections that come together there. Some are inside the B pillar
The thick bracket with the holes in it (jacking frame), which comes attached to the inner sill panel, is basically just a 'locator' for the jack arm, to stop it moving sideways. The lifiting loads are initially taken up at the join between the outer and inner sill panels

Re: New jacking point
Thanks for the info, its the jacking frame that I was after as its become quite thin after chipping away at the rust. The actual jacking point as described seems to be sound ie. bottom of B pillar. I spoke to schofields and was told its on the list to be done but hasn't been put into production yet. Not a problem, just means a bit more fabricating.

Do you mean the part where the jack locates?

Thanks for that, could be just what I'm looking for.

Unless you're using a hi-lift farm jack and she starts to roll-off it (the syncro recovery scenario) then that frame really doesn't do a lot IMO. If you template and copy it in 1.2mm and tack along the sides of original, that should be enough, it just stops the rear of jack arm pulling DOWN, and locates & stops front from moving sideways as you jack
I saw the jacking frame attached to inner sills that Schofields were selling at Stanford Hall w/e before last, but maybe that was a genuine VW one... it didn't look quite as thick as the originals though
