Probubly a bad conection on the back of the clock itself or the dash multiplug (any other dash lights doing funny things or not self testing before you start?). If the battery light comes on when key turned on and goes out after the engine is started (and maybe pedal blipped) I wouldn't worry much. Shorting wires are the only sereous cause, which you will need to fix quick; if its just unplugged/loose conection it won't damage anything, fix it when fed up with it not working. Its driven off the altinator so that needs to work properly.

If you pull the conector off the high oil presure switch, make sure it doesn't touch any metal and rev the engine to over 2krpm the buzzer of doom should go off, if it does the problem will be the 3 pin plug on the back of the rev counter as the dash is obveously getting the engine speed signal to trigger this (gentle poke/hit dash might make it work breefly - carefully tighten conectors for more perminant fix), if it doesn't it'll be the altinator or wires between it and dash plug, unless the buzzer of doom thing is also bust.
