Autosleepers and optional extras

Mine is an 86 A/S hi-top and has a Zig CF9 fitted. This unit has a built in charger. It also has a Hotbox heater fitted.

Thats interesting. Any pics of the zig unit in situ?? Is it in the usual place

The Zig CF9 is on the LH side of the rear storage space looking towards the back. There is a half width cupboard to the right of it. I will take a couple of pics tomorrow and post them.

Click on whatever country they were sold in and see. Has a few UK vans and campers, but nothing like maninland European countries. Click Germany, then reisemobile to see German campers.

Sorry about lack of pics, while on photobucket trying to reduce size of pics I picked up some spyware which sent my computer ballistic. My Norton security says everything is OK but it isn't, I am trying to get in touch them now to sort it.

Kev ... i was in contact with Auto-sleeper a few months ago for bits i wanted, after giving them the chassis number and Auto-sleeper model type they were more than helpful ... they also stated that copies of old sales literature are still available from their marketing department.

Just had a look at the operating instruction booklet :

quote: " Lighting and electrical

The fuses for the interior lights, 12 volt plug and socket, water pump, water level gauge and refrigerator are in the fuse box incorporated in the electrical control panel.

The mains electrical supply is provided by a circuit breaker, which is fitted in the bed box.

The trip switches incorporated in the circuit breaker are: 5amp - refrigerator 10 amp - socket "

The electrical panel is up above the sink/drainer/deep storage cupboard.

Give me a shout - if you want the booklet copying - i would put it up on wiki myself but would need detailed instructions

see there's no control for the charging of batteries.
I presume it's a separate module

I had so much stuff come with my van so I will see what I can dig out and scan in. Ive got over a foot high of stuff.
I see your from Torbay. Im from Paignton. Does anyone meet up with campers? Ive got a 1986 Autosleeper that I bought off an old lady. Her husband died and she didnt know much about it so unsure how to use all the electrics etc so any advice would be helpful if there was a meet or anything.

Don't switch the water pump on until you've primed the system (by sucking on the end of the tap, to draw water up from the tank! ). Clean your tank and pipes with Puri-clean first though.

Meet: Two or more vans getting together.

There are several of us around the area. Could get together as soon as it warms up some. I don't know much about Autosleepers, but know a little about campers.

Just out of interest what is the red switch/indicator to the right of your control panel??

Just a switch for exterior lighting... nothing special
it was convenient to put it there as that's where most of the leisure electrics congregate

Didn't realise all these were optional extras. My 1990 Autosleeper has blown air heating, lap belts and second battery, all factory fitted. I don't have original documentation, so it may be that Autosleepers were fitting some or all of these as standard by 1990.
