What kind of mpg should i expect in a westy hightop with a 1.9 TD and does it foul the engine lid . Thinking of converting from a petrol.

i get about 30 - 34 mpg depending on driving conditions and the engine lid needs moding over the pump by raising it about 20mm.

hi tony yes you can get around boding the lid BUT itll cost you , a hybrid full pump, i have a vertually brand new one cost £800 would like £250, could do the conversion to,pm me
if its not broke dont fix it, or i will

you don't need to raise the whole lid just cut out a hole above fuel pump and make a raised section out of thin sheet metal or glass fibre

Im hoping to get mine converted to TDI from petrol in the next month or so got me bits sorted just on the lookout for a decent donor vehicle now Philippacman is doing it for me top bloke

They wern't the bits in Stratford where they Tony was looking at them meself got mine off Roadmark69
