Van not starting
Hey, I went to start my Van today but nothing was happening, not turning over...
just a clickin noise coming from the ignition. I tested the battery and it is reading in at 11.66Volts.. Do you think it could be the battery or the starter motor or something completely different?

I run a fleet of truck's (well only two at the moment so a very small fleet) and my T25, whenever one won't start on the electrickery side I allways go to my local automotive battery shop (not Halfwits) and say the vehicle wouldn't start can you please check the starting and charging system and the battery. This takes about 10 mins, This way you get to the cause of any problems without buying any pointless componants. Unfortunatly these places seem to be getting as hard to find as rocking horse poo, but if you find a good one it might be worth a post
I am in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire I use Groves Batteries. I use to use Warickshire Ignition Services who also were excelent but they are unfortunatly no longer with us

It's nothing a great deal of time and money can't fix

Its a fact that most automotive electricians are now slowly closing down - like a lot of traditional or specialist trades

11.66V too low for starting I would suggest - that's pretty well discharged isn't it.
Is this not the winter and recent wet weather taking its toll - agree that first terminals cleaned and a good coat of NoCrode or vaseline before refitting tightly - to see if that fixes it.
