All of the remaining locker actuator parts were left in a plastic bag in the glovebox and Cate was fully aware of the non-functioning locker when she bought the vehicle.
I still have all the parts and yes, I knew it didn't work. Doesn't mean to say I don't want to get it working now.
Given the age and mileage of the vehicle before the locker is attended to a VC test needs to be completed on it to ascertain whether the VC needs replacing
Hence the spare whole front diff and endless phone calls to find out the history of the VC, and the plan to replace the whole thing, get the seized locker working and get the old VC to syncronutz for replacement.
There was a diff at my parent's farm that was offered to Cate around a year ago and wasn't picked up. My parent's farm is not free long-term storage, which is why the 'spare' diff is now at my house in Bristol, so I could exchange the VC from it.
It was offered to me as an ideal replacement as you, Thomas, advised me that the vc would soon need replacing.
We stripped that syncro at the scrappie in about end May/early June last year, the diff was earmarked for me. In July when the gearbox broke we then talked about changing engine, gearbox and front diff at the same time, which due to constraints, we didn't do the front diff.
If there was issues with the 'storage' at your parents farm why didn't you tell me, you have every chance of contacting me.
You know full well the doka has been non-working since August last year, the front diff was not priority.
The doka is near to getting back on road, so the thoughts of getting the diff sorted came up again.
When I did text you to say I would go out to the farm to collect it, 3 weeks ago I think, you told me that it had gone, no explanation, no apology, no reason, in fact you couldn't even be bothered to answer my last text asking if it was retrievable.
Clive, the doka is not back on the road yet and still has to go through an MOT, so this may be a while off yet so Spike can burn off the oil floating around the engine. But I felt there was no harm in asking for help and maybe planning a few dates.
