Cavity waxing

Post by chuckle-bus-tom »

Although it's getting on with winter out there, I do plan on topping up the cavity wax done by the previous owner a few years ago.

I just have one possibly really stupid question:

Does the wax affect the interior working in the body cavities? Things like locks, window winders, fridge exhausts etc?

Ideally you'd want to take all the interior trim off to wax ...and then obviously not apply it in such a way that it drips all over your stuff once you put it back in/on.

Cold weather really isn't ideal for applying wax though

on a more serious note , wont effect anything ,will obviously run when warm ,ie fridge vent , but you shouldnt need to wax this!

no reason to point it at anything other than metal panels anyway ,so a bit of splash is ok

also read the tin , always a good start.
