Reputedly a lovely thing the 2.6, 5 but methinks a few minutes after Pete arrives 'oop Norf' you'll concede a 3.3 6 is maybe even lovelier... needs Tdi gearing though, 80 @ 3,000 sounds about right

Went to farnham and back today. First job for the newly powered works van. It is a truly amazing cruiser. 70 mph sustained with 10mm of pedal travel and returned 23mpg (not bad for a 3.3 brick) . The van normally weighs in at 2400 kgs with tools on board.
