Should, but isn't. Picked up the new gaskets today, made sure the mating faces were really clean, fitted, tested, well I managed to adjust things enough to stop it stalling, but it's well down on power and struggles uphill. Idling is lumpy, and spraying carb cleaner round the same area increases the revs again.
Dismantled again, refitted gaskets with HT silicon this time, still no improvement.
Does anyone know the correct torque for the inlet manifold bolts? HBOL is useless, but as the heads are alloy I'm being careful and have kept it down to 18 lb/ft as per the plugs - is that right?
I'm going to do it all again tomorrow, but I'm coming to think that it's never going to be right with that DF manifold, and I'm going to have to source a proper DG manifold & carb.
