History the water board must of liked it as it seems they had it for about 8 years, the Viking / hacker had it 1 year sold to a pig farmer who stored it in a pig barn for 2 years thats where i found it  But hey we love it ,camp all year with it -off to Builth Wells this weekend with a bucket full of mulled wine :D

Mines not a Viking conversion or anything. Its just a van with a Caravelle slider and rear bench stuffed in. Not really sure at what point what got bodged how but thats preveous owners for you. I'm converting it myself how I want in the back, adding genuine highspec options as I go so it doesn't look so much like the tipical yorks water spec now - hopefully I'm doing it well, certainly better than some I've seen but thats not nesiserally saying much!

Thankfully the preveous owners have resisted the temptation to cut windows into it (though the guy I bought it off was going to, reconed he could weld caravelle sides in so you'd never tell) - I like the van look so its staying as it is! It'll be back on the road next week so maybe I'll take some pictures.

So yorks water ran them for 8 years did they? Wondered how long they kept them. Surpose I could find out if I bothered to send DVLA a V888 request for former keepers (costs a fiver). Do you know what mileage they were at when released? Mines probubly done 115k now which doesn't seem alot, was off the road a bit before I got it I think - I got it off a Deaf guy so I probubly didn't get as many answers as I might have done - I'm good as asking questions but not writeing them down quickly, a Dislexic and a deaf person aren't ideal for comunicating. And yes the van rattled and squeaked alot - didn't have a radio eather  , mostly sorted now.

I bought this one off a guy in sheffield, he only used it to take garden rubbish to the dump
He said he got it off the guy that drove it for the water board and when they come to sell it the guy bought it of the company and used it for a few years then sold it the the gezer I got it off
it needed too much work to sort out so I sold it on.

I used to own K412 RCP which is a DOKA syncro. (I say is because, ten years later, I spotted it at Vanfest this year). I don't know whether that was a water board vehicle or not.

I also have a picture of J902 KCP white is a white van with full bulkhead and extract vents in the rear side panels.

Spotted a J***#CP today but it was some 2wd hightop camper thing. Just some local back road and it had 2 J reg T3 campers on it at different adresses - what are the chances!

Anyone got a photo of a water one in YW Livery?

just for the record, telstra (phone company in OZ) bought 500 syncro vans as a job lot
they had 2.1mv, rear wash wipe, square headlights, no diff locks, opening 1/4lights, and special rear bumpers/step with hold on handles on the back door! they usually have a full length roof rack with ladder rolls on.
everything else was basic!!
