Well, I've bit the bullet (so to speak) and bought a Biotoi from Biobags UK. We're going north next week, so i can report back on our adventures with bags of poo when we get back. It's extremely compact and very simple, so we'll see how it goes...

Cheers,
Donald.

Do what the French do, p*ss at the side of the road, in full view preferably, and cr8p in the lay-byes.

You'll know which ones by the smell and the various types of paper littering the place....not pleasant for pic-nics.

During our trip to the western Isles, we ended up mostly using campsite or public loos. Only used the the BioToi a couple of times and it was ok.:whistle Perfectly easy to seal up and then dispose of the 'doings' later on.

I can understand that for many people the convenience of a proper loo is preferable, but for occasional use this was fine. Is is basically a posh bucket and bag system.

Happy crapping everyone :D
Donald.

Foldup/collapsable shovel/ entrenching tool: ebay £10

Baby wipes/ loo roll/ : £1

Lantern (better than torch for placing near to site): £5

Time taken to get out of sight/ earshot: Dependant on need.

Digging a hole more than 6" deep: 2 mins or less.

Time figuring out what to do once hole is dug: Variable though reduces with experience.

Burn paper after use and resist temptation to inhale.

Return to van in the dark with everything you took with you.

Getting back in van and bed and avoiding abuse from Her Indoors: Priceless!

Cheers,

HV

PS: I really must do some work now.

Not everything I hope if it was dark, reminds me of a work mate who was taken short one day, he went off to the woods came back with it down his back.........NOT pleasant.......he craped in his overalls and when he pulled em back up, thwack right in the back of the neck.

some people have a really funny idea of 'wilding' it..

i like the idea of the bio-degradable bag system though,.
don't like using the chemicals, i'd rather p!ss outside the
van (even though i am a lady,) than use the chemical bog..
