Ask Simon Baxter if he's got one at the Brickwerks?

Good idea. Just posted on that site (someone else after these sleeves this week!) so I've just posted on his post asking if he found any (they all suggest using VW dealers - they can't ALL be out of these, so I am going to call local ones tomorrow - oh and one in Burgess Hill/Sussex/brighton - seeing that I'll be that way tomorow.)

Waffle mode cos I'm tired.

Shall drop Simon Baxter a PM too...

I remember reading somewhere on his site that he won't reply to personal tech requests anyway, so I'll just have to hope someone posts the reply to that post I foudn (see above post)

Simon PM'd.

Also am now armed with the details of 6 VW parts centres in Sussex and 3 in Kent - whilst bankrollers chauferring me ... ahem... _driving_ me to VWHeritage tomorrow, I shall be calling in earnest. One of these VW endorsed parts outlets must have another one of these parts.

I'll keep you posted folks!

Got the part.
Getting some pics taken.

Measruements:
Length: 5.5cm (2" 3 or 4/16ths)
Total width: 2.4"cm (1")
Inside hole diameter: 1.9cm (12/16ths")
Inside edge (between hole and outer edge): 3mm (2/16ths")
(Sorry if the above isn't perfect wording - I'm computer engineer - not mechanical lol)

Rang most of the VW parts dealers, but after getting told no for about the 4th time, that idea soon wore off...
Have had a tip off from JCB Medway (VW apparently?) that strood Trade Centre might have one as they deal with "commercials" (why oh why do always say "Hi I'd like a part for my campervan" instead of "Hi I'd like a part for my T25". I reckon they hear the word "...van" and pass me off to another sector...

Anyway, was told to ring them on Monday. I'll let you know how I get on. Step dad wants this part passed to him pronto (like tomoz) so he can still looking for its twin...

Total width: 2.4cm ..(1")

Outside diameter you mean?

1" = 25.4 cm

Sounds like it can easily be made from 1" round bar by someone with a lathe, and cad plated.

Thats the one! Diameter - I call it OD in general face-to-face talk (but I didn't think that was correct either)

'Oh' 'Dee' is fine for outside diameter or outer diameter.

You don't need to specify the edge thickness, as that comes out in the wash from the OD and ID (25-19)/2 = 3mm

Did you measure with a rule, vernier caliper, or micrometer?

The hole will be wide clearance for the M18 threaded radius rod, so 19mm sounds about right, maybe be a bit less.

Will put this in the Wiki and update if corrections come in...

there's a really helpful and friendly chap on this forum called Peter

(think his other screen name is 'pochie' = peterpochie(?)...but i'll have to check.)

..that I have bought odd bits from and I'd recommend you try him as he might well have what you're looking for on a shelf somewhere.

He's in Inverary,Argyll,Scotland and he was very helpful when I needed him to be. Delivery within a couple of days, all as he said it would be.

Just stumbled on this thread as I am replacing the lower arm bush, Radius arm is off and all this dust fell out!!!

Thanks for posting the dimensions of the sleeve was going to try to make some at work out of stainless if I get time on Thurs - Sat, could always make a couple more at the same time if you like. Just depends how soon you want them.

Only one bolt left to come out, (inner bush ) but's its jammed in solid so hacksaw or drill time me thinks!!

Cheers
