Just took the van to a caravan place to have a 3way fridge fitted, (it didn't have one before). Anyway the bloke has connected the gas and 240 v but he hasn't connected the 12 volt because he says the wires aren't there from the car battery. How easy is this for me to do, (considering I am no mechanic or should I take it to the garage???
Thanks

Probably needs a split charging system wiring in. There's info about it in the wiki:

I've never done it so couldn't comment on how difficult, or otherwise, it is.

its not diffecult, just the same as wiring up a pair of driving lamps......its just a split charge with the fridge instead of the leisure battery.
if you already have a split charge its even esier, you use the signal wire already there from the alternator , via a switch to the fidge relay, and feed the fridge from the main battery just like the leisure battery is.
just remember, keep it tidy.........tidy wiring is reliable, safe and erm....tidy!
