Welcome.

Can't help you with the seats.
But, can you turn off your Caps Lock, it's classed as shouting.

No probs.

Use the search facility (you'll find it above) and you'll be surprised what lies within.

Rob,

Doing exactly as you are at the moment and fitting /replacing seats with Saab ones, but have the 9000 as oppose to the 900. Not sure if there's much difference though

If you go to the wiki and type 'saab seats', someone has kindly done a full piece all about how to do/photos etc.

The trickier part I found was the one that sits on the swivel chair - the saab seat that has a height adjuster might have to go on this, as described in the article.

There's mention of using some spacers (there's a pic to support) and we found the perfect place to find the material for these spacers was by using the height adjuster bar, which comes from under the saab seat with the h.adjuster on it and the one has the tension spring on it.

Hope that helps on the spacer front maybe?

All best with it though :)

I fitted Saab 9000 seats last night. It's pretty simple. I would say follow the guide for fitting the seats from the Wiki.
The drivers seat has the hight adjustment on, which needs carefully grinding off..

Other than that I bought 8 M8 50mm bolts with nuts. 8 25mm spacers (the local bolt place found some big 'nuts' that were 25mm.) Also to bolt down to the rails I used 30mm M8 with ny-lock nuts..

Good luck!

thanks for the replies guys but i think the 900 seats are different. have read the article . no height adjuster on mine . from the article it looks like the 9000 top runners go straight into the t25 bottom runners . if this is the case i bought the wrong un's but will mod to suit . thanks again

i bought and fitted some saab 95 seats, i removed the old swivel bases and just bolted the new seats down using m8 x 30mm set bolts with washers and nylocks. You do however need patience getting the nuts on the bolts especially gear stick side - masking tape on the ends of your fingers helps.

Seats are great though, bmint beige velour and bought for £15 on fleabay.

saab 900 seats

got the passenger side fitted inside 2 hours. absolute class seats.

managed to dislodge the crispy perished fuel tank expansion pipes whilst bolting up.
so another hour and a foot of 6mm fuel hose sorted that as well.

guess i'm in for the same on the drivers side.

by the way the 900 seats do have a height adjuster but at the low setting the seat is perfect.
