Hob Rack (boring but very useful!)

Post by leftfield27 »

Hi, I am getting ready to go away camping for a while, and I dont have a rack for my hob. Last year I ended up using a tiny camping stove, but seeing as I have 2 hobs it seems a bit silly!
The hob is below; (hope this works i haven't uploaded/linked a photo before)

Any ideas what to do to get a rack on here? The two holes are exactly 20cm apart and the gas jet thing is about 35mm tall (if i remember correctly.... any suggestions?

thanks

the trouble is you have linked to the page your pictures are displayed on, NOT the picture, so you need to get the picture properties, and link to them..........
i have edited your top post to show you, if you also click E D I T, you will see what i did........

Eventually with the help of preview post and a bit of fiddling, I've got it, thanks Mocki.

Still, anyone got any suggestions for how to get something to use as a hob rack?

how about a BBQ rack, grille thing, bent to fit it? or swap the cooker out for something that will fit in the hole but is complete with grille!

try ebay for a start! i've seen plenty of that type of hob in it!

try looking around under the hob with a torch to see if there is anything with a manufacturers name on it. Then you have somewhere to start looking. Even better a model. Sometimes you might find a sticker in the cupboards underneath. A name like Cramer, Spinflo, Smev, ?? Then call up or email some caravan breakers. Thats how I got a replacement pan stand for my van. I got the model number and emailed pictures and dimensions.
