Gennie Prob

Post by SYNCRO »

I've got Briggs and Stratton Gennie (only run 5-6hrs)

Went to use it the other day after filling with fresh petrol (filtered through chamois leather just in case!!) It ran OK for a couple of minutes then began to hunt (slow down then speed up to normal)

Looked in the user manual but no fault diagnosis for this :shock:

Anyone any ideas what fault I may have?? :?:

try re-applying the choke slightly and see if it clears. if so it could be a slightly blocked jet

If you give us the model/type and output rating , we be able to be a bit more specific as to a quick fix.

Hi ya,,,,,It would be one of those;;;;

Not the simplest of things to work on due the compact nature of the beast.

If you can get to the carb without to much buggering about it may just need to be removed and given a good blow through.

If it cures the problem remember in future, if you are not going to use the genny for a few weeks is to run the carb dry (by turning fuel off and allowing the genny to run till it stops) .
