Just booked my bus in with Elite for this Friday i was thinking of having the engine thats in the van re-conned instead of one off the shelf.
It did cross my mnd to upgrade to a 2.1 but i have a 4 speed box.
Would i need a 5 speed box if i stuck the bigger engine in?

If the box is in good nick and the oil been changed then no need to worry.. it onlt becomes a factor if you drive the wheels off it all the time and IIRC there doesnt seem to be rhym or reason that some have 2 pinion or 4 pinion and some dont..
4 speed is considered a stronger box in any case... and the ratios (in top) are generally not much different..
