Fan Switch

Post by jammcd649 »

Hi everyone.

My fan switch is foobarred! I have another one off the other van that I can swap it to but unfortunately the one off the other van is 3 pin and the one on this van is 2 pin. I assume the 3 pin one is for a 2 speed fan, is it possible to use the 3 pin one on my current van? If so which pins need to be connected?

Thanks in advance,
Jamie

jammcd649.

the diagram I have is for the '3 pin' which has.....

1. a black/red wire feed to the + pin
2. a white wire from pin 1 (goes via two resistors to the fan)
3. a yellow/black wire from pin 2 (goes via only one resistor to the fan)
4. a yellow wire from pin 3 (goes direct to fan)
