Ticking Sound
Hi,
Just wondering sometimes when I start my 1980 Aircooled T25 there is a ticking sound that comes from somewhere over the passengers side that is quite noisy but stops when I put my foot on the accelerator, can anyone tell me what this is and should I be worried about it.
Thanks
Rob.

Can you hear it outside?
Is it rythmical in time with tickover?
Does it stop when it's just above tickover or when your foot is right down?
Does it happen when you're going along in gear with your foot off the gas?
Loose window seals?
Window winder mechanism?
Door seals?
Noisy tappet?
Try turning up the stereo.

No you can't hear it outside,
No it is quick ticking.
It is quite loud as well
It does do it occasionaly when driving, but I never have my foot off of the Gas except when changing gear, I could try this tonight though.
I have heard about the "Buzzer of Doom" and I am concerned that it is that, but I can't seem to find any info on it.
