There are two drain plugs behind the push rod covers .. , allen key bolts
heres a tip , while the covers are off , drill a hole below the bolt and then next time you won't have to remove them
also like kev says remove the cap

Thanks for the info every one i'll look for the drain plugs between the push rod tubes Ive probably only drained about 5-6 liters with the header cap off with the majority of it coming from the engine side and less coming from the front is it worth disconnecting the other main pipe that runs to the radiator?
I have also noticed some dampness on the seams behind the push rod tubes not leaking too serious though is this bad news or is there an easy fix ?
Ive not had chance to get a Haynes yet only just got the bus thats the next thing on the list i hope I'm not going to need it too often
