Oil In The Turbo Inlet, Diesel question?
Ive just spent the past few days replacing the engine and gearbox in my van a diesel engine and box. I thought I would take the plastic inlet pipe off the turbo to check its condition, when I did about half a pint of oil spewed out all over me. Is this likely to be a build up of oil the engine has breathed out or something else? Its a jr engine which i believe means it came from a golf gtd. Any ideas would be appreciated.

It soaked through my boiler suit jumper and t shirt and stained my skin black. Made a puddle on the garage floor too so there was quite a lot in there.
Thats part of problem then, re route breather hose so its harder for it to blow oil out of breather.
