where have you got them positioned? if they are underneath where the original horn is fitted then they have probably got water in them and are fooked and corroded.
I found this out last Sunday, reminds me, I need to move the remaining horn (I removed 2 of the 3 horns) up near the radiator

no jason is wrong.if its a two tone horn (and an aarroogggghh horn is)an mot tester cannot fail it.if its a multi tone horn it will fail.you should appeal his decision if he fails it on a two tone...
Jason is right!!!

Sorry Rob,
Not casting dispersions.I can only go on my personal experiences.
Have to admit there are usually more pressing issues come MOT time so I have never bothered to query this with the tester!!! May do next time and risk winding him up!!
Regards

no they arent
My van failed this morning due to a arroooogghh horn. MOT bloke says they're illegal on post 1983 vans.

Peace and Love and .... ummmm all that.
its very odd.mine passed a few weeks ago.like it did last year.at one of the strictest mot places around here.and my vans a 1991.i asked the tester about the horn.because the original is still on.and i could of swapped the wires over.but he said because it was two tone it would pass...
