GOOD DIESEL MECHANIC IN WEST MIDS ???
can anyone recomend a GOOD diesel mechanic in the brum area. there are plenty around yes, but most of them arent diesel minded
my hgv mechanic is too busy to be messing around with 1y engines

How did that happen ?
Let me know how you get on and what you have done please - im about to set the cam timing on mine - but i will need to take it to a specialist to get the injection pump timing and tappets sorted...

I've never had that happen, but I've changed a cambelt a few times. It is a case of locking the pump pulley and camshaft and then the fun of keeping the crank pulley lined up (that is the hardest part) The markings are all there, just a bit of patience. As for the pump timing, apart from locking the pulley I've never messed with. Yo need a dial gauge and some know how.
