Yes tough ones, you may need to goto a van centre or trade centre as car retailers are not susposed to sell you van parts.

Interesting to know.

I have used the cheapie ones for now. If (when) they go again I will fit some genuine ones.

Why fit genuine when I can sell you the exact same thing, with the same in the kit made by the same people on the same production line for less than half the price of VW?

When I say genuine, I was thinking quality. If there is a quality alternative then that would be fine. I am not one to waste money for sure.

Are the GKN ones the tough nylon ones?

Or the rubber ones?

Seem to be two part numbers for them too?
From ETKA:

joint protective boot with assembly items and grease / front axle with differential lock for models with tyre size:
front, outer 14" /

251498203F

251498203A

Whats that about?

Cor blimey this is hard work.

I have broght one home to photograph.
In a CV boot kit you get.

CV boot.
Clips.
Gease.
Nuts.

You can try ringing GKN, but I know for a fact there is none in the country and are on back order for about a month.
the ones coming have someones name on them. :whistle
Add that to the fact that GKN shouldn't sell to the public, I say shouldn't, they should point you towards a dealer, wether that happens is a different matter, but by rights they don't sell to the public.

I have reviewed my prices inlight of recent smart aris comment

14" - £7.80
16" - £19.68

Very limited stock of both, dwindling fast, if you need them order quick as I say there are non at the warehouse and non expected for a while yet.
