Get some Rubbing Compound, then T-Cut, then Polish on that Body Work, and it will look like new...

Nice find. Not at all jealous.

I put 15" mercedes steel wheels on mine with BF Goodrich Mud terrains. I always felt the original VW 14 " alloys looked a little 'lightweight' on my Tristar.

I like the merc steels with the VW black centre caps fitted, and you get a far wider choice of tyre to put on.

Little update.

The Tristar passed its MOT today :D :D No real problems, just a couple of advisories (headlight loose etc).

It's had new fuel lines and filter, new brake lines, exhaust, battery, wheels & tyres and many other bits. Needed a little welding on 1 sill, but other than that its solid. Drives lovely :D :D Gear selections are smooth and there's no prop whine. Steering feels solid too.
Anyway ill get a proper update with pics up soon.

Hi, Egg, you might see it on the road soon... im on hold with the insurance company as i type!!

I sourced some 15" Audi steels and some 235/70 Desert Hawk tyres. Fairly cheap, but at least look the part :D
Cant wait to get it taxed and on the road!

:)

What's a bucket exhaust... ?

PS. I agree that a RHD Tristar is something rare enough to be best kept original... but Stan wouldn't dream of putting a V12 in it, I'm sure !

Ha, it might be a squeeze :D
Im keeping it as standard as possible, i even wanted to keep the original 14" steels and wheel trims, but they were beyond hope and tyres are expensive for that size :(

Bit more tidying-up to do on him and im going to take the private plate off and get him on a date relevant plate. Then he might be up for sale.
