My water tank lockable cap is stuck. Any suggestions / easy ways to undo it or remove it so can put a new one on?

:D is it mounted in a housing on the nearside wheelarch ,, if so i think what you might be able to do is unscrew the plastic housing , then undo the hose , then you might be able to use some long nose pliers to unscrew the cap :)

If it was unused for some time the lock may have siezed. Try squirting some releasing agent (Not WD40, but try maybe PlusGas or 3inOne Penetrant) into the keyhole. Leave it a couple of days. Grip the cap as you turn the key. There isn't much to go wrong really.

E D I T; Just read FamousPhills reply. That should do it.

Yeah mine was seized when i got my van. I had to snap the cap in half and free up the lock. Glued the two halves back together....doesnt look too bad

Dont think I have the key for it, or at least none of the keys I have fit as the key slot itself has jamned. Looks rather corroded inside.

Yes it is above wheel arch and has four screws in corner of housing so could try taking it out. Question is where to get a new cap?

Breaking it in half? What sort of glue did you use?

If it`s the 3 screw holding it onto the body type, unscrew it, undo the hose clip and throw the lot in the bin. New ones available for not much money at all, white or black. Try Rainbow Conversions website, or probably Caktanks as well, amongst many others. It`s a standard fitment on loadsa campers and motorhomes.
Keep it real.

No, the housing around the cap has 5 screws in the corners. the cap and housing all seem to be one. Its not the same as the general cap on rainbowconversions.

hmm still looking....
