Who can fix my leaky windscreen?

If you import a vehicle to the Island over 3 years old it has to through the government test centre before you can register it on the Island. Once passed thats it no more tests :)

Apparently not, though not sure how anyone would actually know...

Mind you, the bobbies round here actually walk a beat and talk to you (all old-fashioned kind of like...) and probably make a mental note of your UK plates! According to what I've read, 'visitors' can stay UK reg'd for 12 months, but 'residents' have to re-reg 'as soon as possible'.

I've got the form to book in for my MOT. You post it off and then wait for an appoinment. There's only one test centre for the whole island!

I'm having to give Liz a few van lessons in case she ends up having to take it to the test centre while I'm at werk. Trouble is, she can now see why I'm always grinning when driving the van and I'll probably never get to go behind the wheel again!!
