as the owner of a transport company, i will hold you to that, lets bet on it. say £300 as a wager, if you can get 40+ mpg with the same torque as my 19d, the money is yours. plus the heater ALWAYS works. i wonder why they stick diesel engines in commercial vehicles

If you had taken the time to read my post correctly you would have noted that i stated "performance" not economy.which i stand by. i doubt very much your na diesel has the horsepower of my mildly tuned Aircooled motor but lets not turn this into a my vans faster than your van, my dads bigger than yours etc etc!!!. As you have stated, your a fleet manager you know no petrol motor can compete with with diesel economy.I understand you have a dislike for Aircooled, i personally, dont like diesels, but i dont want to argue all day about it!! live and let live i say!
