Good ideas

Post by henry martin »

I like the flip-down very much as I think they are
neat and space saving,
and its only the retrieval from cash-converters
stopped me buying one,

(that and the fact I couldn't find one that does DVD's
for anything like the money I wanted to spend)

This is what I've done;

Bought a 15" LCD TV/DVD of about 4" in depth,

next I'll fabricate either a fixed or swinging bracket that will suspend it just below Fibreglass lip behind front seats

(with me so far?)

Then We can either watch it, seated
on Rn'R bed or in it.

Bathed in the incadescant glow of new Blue neons

Checked up on prices on ebuyer today & a 15'' LCD TV/DVD Combo with remote control is £125 but if you register for 'Google Checkout' you get £10 off so the nett price would be £115. :)

The above price is for the Vistron Noire 15'' (Black) but the silver coloured
model is more expensive @ £140.

If you buy an analogue TV like this make sure you get ananalogue/digital (Freeview) ariel to go with it, then when the analogue is switched offf just buy a small Freeview box to enable you to continue viewing. :D

Not terribly expensive. For such a nice looking bit of equipment.

I suspected the purists would sniff at such fripperies as entertainment centres,

But I feel. On evenings when it gets ever so slightly colder,

The lights off a leisure battery wouldn't be good enough to read by, say....

Which makes for rather a long
Dull evening

My TV for the van arrived yesterday morning. :D

It's the one I mentioned before, the Vistron Noire 15'' LCD TV/DVD Combo. Tried it on DVD & it's got good picture & sound. Very good value at £115.00 delivered! :D All I need now is an aerial.
