Big lumps of metals and spanners.

when did 'yours' come on?
my box at 173K has this problem, but just take it reeeeel steady until it's warm .
I reckon it started about 130K, I hope I have many more miles left in it :)

I bought the bus with no first gear; at that point it had covered 78k, but it does have a towbar so I assume that it was regularly used for towing, and that wore the gearbox out more quickly.

I now have very little synchromesh left on 2nd gear, and double-declutching is required every time. The 'box was only rebuilt about a thousand miles ago. Bl**dy thing...

Pete Englezos at The Cogbox... twice (the second time under warranty). First time it was OK for about 500 miles, then the final drive broke up and wrecked the bearings. This time it's done about 1000 miles before losing 2nd gear synchromesh and getting noisy in 3rd gear.
