Stability: ours has stood tall in storms when other tents are being chased down across the campsite during storms by their respective owners

Yes the Khyam has a skirt which can be fastened down, should you need to. It's a quality piece of kit but comes at a price.

T3LEE wrote:and has anyone had any problems with them in exteme weather conditions?

We've had none what-so-ever, and we camped over New Year in a blizzard a couple of years ago. If you buy new you get a repair kit, with replacement plastic spring collar assembly and patches for the material.

Cheers,Ian.

BTW the first time the materials exposed to water it leaks along the seams, so the smart move is to put it up in the garden and give it a soaking with the hose pipe. It'll not leak again, honest.

Just ordered a Motordome Tourer from Yeomans. £250. Not bad I thought as JKs awnings start at £200. It's a bit smaller than the Motordome Classic, but has the same pole system. Went to look at them at Camperlands, the Classic is frellin enourmous  so decided to go for the Tourer. I think the quality of the Khyams leaves JKs far behind.
Can't wait to try it out :D :D :D
