Yes, check the clearance between the inlet manifold and the nearside chassis rail inner plate before you finally fit it - if its a high-block 2-litre, you'll need to clearance it 'before' you finally fit. If you're fitting with 50 degree diesel kit, you either cut and weld the chassis rail (see Wiki article) or slightly slot the engine mounts to move the engine over about 1/2"

one to add to the list is sussing out the fuel pump...
mount it at a point lower than the fuel tank so that you don't need a lift pump. Mine has four pipes - the top 2 (next to each other and plastic) are the return pipes.. engine-pump-tank they're arrowed so that should help.
Of the lower 2 the one going thru the filter goes to the engine and the remaining one is feed from the tank.
Good luck

Girls - don't ever expect to be more important than his van! Instead, love it just as much!

Find a diesal van and take EVERYTHING that connects the engine to the van. Most of it will come in handy.
Our biggest problem was the conversion from Aircooled to watercooled (as many of you witnessed on the way to vanfest when we had to pull over on the hard shoulder - thanks to the MANY MANY people who offered their help)
