check bolts through starter are tight and earthing correctly or test it by running an earth from a starter bolt to chassis. I had a non starter for 2 months. The starter bolts were a good enough earth for my meter to say they were earthing but they wern't. Cleaned up the nuts and surfaces and no mo...

Earth straps to gearbox, battery to chassis connections. Leads and contact connectors on motor, faulty key switch or connections. I had this same problem tried lots of fixes but the final fix was undoing the joint clamp ( about half way a long the van underneath ) and holding both ends twisting just about the distance of one spline , but can't remember if it was clock wise or anti but just that small amount completely changed ...
