broken casting
Hi got a problem ( as usual ) trying to remove the metal water pipe on 1.9DG the lower allen bolt just would not move being rounded off by who ever worked on it last . any way had to resort to punch and hammer and the bit of casing that the bolt goes into has cracked and a piece fell off
is there any thing capable of sticking the bit back in place ? it's a good clean break and I have the section that came off it's a long shot but here's hoping cheers

Re: broken casting
I wouldn't be able to trust any repair ... a new pump isn't that expensive and are readily available so that would be (and has been when the very same stud snapped off in my first waterpump) my advice ... I replaced the pump and in the comfort of the workshop drilled and retapped the original and kept as a known good spare.
