Re: Westy Charger Wiring
Thanks for that, under the back seat I had the brown to the charger, a brown for the aux heating and a two browns with a ring crimp on. I had assumed that one of them went back to earth however on stripping back the sleeving they are all just connected together with no actual earth connection. I hav...

Re: Westy Charger Wiring
OK part sussed it, There is a brown from the charger which loops into the electrocal heater which loops onto a ring of which non are connected to -ve, I assume that if the heater was fitted it would be connected to the bodywork! Does the charger not use a -ve then?

Re: Westy Charger Wiring
Thanks for response, I have two 240 wires in Live and Neutral but three wires out via a three pin plug. One Red Yellow which goes to Leisure Battery, One Red Black that goes to Engine Battery and a Brown which I assumed should be the -ve but which doesn't appear to be? There is also a red and brown ...

Westy Charger Wiring
My original Westy battery charger gave up on me and I have read the articles on fitting a new charger however the existing wiring has me baffled. I've checked the continuity of the -ve brown cable from the charger and both this cable and the -ve supply cable supply to the electrical heater which is ...

Re: LED Panel - Gutted
Thanks guys, The resistance measured at the board is spot on so I'm sure it's the board. Will check for dry joints etc and then may end up ringing Peter (Always more satisfying if you can fix it yourself!!)

LED Panel - Gutted
Since we bought our camper the Westy LED panel has always shown the water tank as full even when empty. Today I took a trip to Maplins, stripped down the level sensor and soldered on two 510 Ohm resistors (to match what was there) and also two new reed switches 1 N/O and 1 N/C. Put it all back toget...

Re: Faulty Speedo
Thanks for the ideas, I have checked that it is located correctly and re-attached it many times. I have also lubricated the cable but to no avail. I could do with trying another one to rule out everything else, any ideas where I could get one from?

Re: fuse rating required
Watts (VA) = Volts x Amps
Therefore 25W / 12V = 2.1A
On DC with a screen no inrush or Power Factor issues so 3A will be good

Leaky High Top
Hi All, Recently I have developed a water leak in our high top. The water sits in the top back shelf as you look in through the tail gate. Any ideas where I should start to look? The matress etc in the high top is bone dry. I assume that I will need to re-seal the high top, if so is there anyone nea...

Faulty Speedo
Hi All, Our bus has a speedo that annoyingly clicks all the time over about 30mph and the time has come to sort it out as the stereo (and the kids!) volume can go no higher to drown it out. I have replaced the cable so I believe it is definately the speedo at fault. I contacted our local instrument ...
