Re: Know of a tip top syncro westy for sale?
When I started actively seeing how many genuine Westy Syncros there were in the UK, I could only find about ten that people were generally aware of. Sure there must be more out there, after all mine and Jeds had both been recently discovered in non enthusiast hands, but be under no illusions, a genu...

Re: Good technical Question
If you gun mine pretty hard off the line on loose, the back wheels will spin pretty easily, but then the fronts seem to pull. I think I'll get it in the brake rollers next time I have it at work, bit more scientific I guess. Perfectly normal ..... If you have a de coupler and a solid shaft instead ...

As the owner of a Syncro westy fitted with the quad cam 2.5 I can assure you that you've made a good choice, great conversion.

https://club8090.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?f=22&t=57167 Posted a request in the swaps and giveaways forum to try and get a matching 15" merc steel wheel.... figured the Syncro crowd are more likely to have one lying around. If so give me a shout. Also open to just buying one and then selli...

Re: which subaru ?
Ok This is more what I'm interested to know, Is this a non turbo? Did it fit in ok or did you have to cut the bulkheads I recently read a post where the bulkhead was cut away to get it in. Do you have some pictures to share? Thanks.. :) Non turbo, no cutting of anything whatsoever, just two small h...

Re: which subaru ?
I've recently fitted an EJ25 DOHC into our Syncro, using all RJES conversion parts, which I can't recommend highly enough. Too early to give fuel economy figures, but the drive is superb, 155bhp. As said above, if your'e going to the effort of doing a conversion, why skimp on the motor? It seems poi...

Re: 225x75x16 Too big?
Thanks for all your comments, I've just this morning picked up some 15" steel rims, 6.5J with an ET of 37, they clear fine on the front, so assume they will on the back, just need to look at suitable tyres for them, the fancy ML rims that I'd like looks wise will have to wait until my bank bala...

225x75x16 Too big?
I've been offered some Merc ML rims, I'm guessing that they're too big for my 14" Syncro, would I be right?
