Insurance Renewal Time

Got my quote in from Sureterm, same as last year £198 - but reading through the small print noticed that the actual policy is only £125 (from Equity Red Star) and the admin costs from Sureterm is £72! Anybody recommend another company to try. Have been trying to get on the Equity Red Star web site b...

Struggles to start when hot!

Yipee - passed MOT today, but still have a problem of starting the van when the engine has been left for about 10 minutes - stopping for petrol, etc. Everything turning over okay but just not kicking in. Any chance that the petrol could be evaporating from carb or not being fed to carb. Also sometim...

Hiya, don't know the revs but pulls really well through every gear and hills are not a worry at all - not super fast but feels strong and not struggling. If I get a straight bit of road will sit quite happily at 55-60 mph and I don't push it any faster, it is 22 year old so I wouldn't hammer it.

Thanks for the help - Forgot to mention, the fan works when it's switched to ventilation - will there be a couple of fuses in the 6'' square black box. It's going to be awkward to get into it, that's why I'm asking before I pull it bits

trumatic-e 1800 heater

Tried out the van last week at Strathyre - smashing - but could have done with a wee bit of heat, snow didn't help. Anyway have a Trumatic-e 1800 heater but cannot get it working. There is one being used on u-Tube and the guy just clicks the right-hand switch to flame and it seems to activate straig...

Novice electrical questions

[IMG:1024:768]http://i284.photobucket.com/albums/ll27/blackbandit2/t25/April2001.jpg[/img] Always fancied a camper and finally got one - a 1986 Reimo Hi-Top 1900 petrol - spent the last couple of weeks getting the engine running fine and really enjoy driving it, so haven't been away camping yet! Cou...

Thanks for the help everyone - took it to local garage JM Motor Engineers, Falkirk (excellent) - found out it was the outer throttle cable that was gubbed. New one from Just Kampers fitted and now running like a wee sweetie.
Another queerie - how do I put a picture on here? Life's full of problems!

Thanks everybody

Thanks everyone for the advise. Took it for a run today sticking to ordinary roads, and maybe I'm being a bit hard on the auld yin.
Hi Matt from California, wouldn't mind meeting up with you for a blether, and see what you think yourself - cheers

New Van awfy sluggish

My first van and I'm quite disappointed - Just bought an 86 1900 Petrol T25 Reimo camper yesterday, 112000 miles, looks great, but spent the whole day driving up the motorway from Manchester to Falkirk. Top speed is about 60 and any long drag speed creeps down to 35-40 - never seen so much traffic i...
