Always fancied a camper and finally got one - a 1986 Reimo Hi-Top 1900 petrol - spent the last couple of weeks getting the engine running fine and really enjoy driving it, so haven't been away camping yet! Couple of questions before I blow up a campsite and the van.
1. What is this box called and what are all the things it does?
2. My hook-up only has two wires with male and female sockets at each end, is this normal?
3. Will the leisure battery be charged up as I drive along?
P.S. Think I'm getting addicted to this site - well done who ever put it together!

ok, that is your control panel ( often refered to as a ZIG because thats a common manufacturer of them, yours isnt a ZIG) it controls all your camper lectrics....

one of the first things you need to do is get a new hook up lead with a earth on it to suit uk campsites and change your inlet to the van accordingly ( you can buy adaptors from german to english, but unless you are planning on spending all your camping in german, change to english, much safer.........

you battery may charge when driving, if you switch the right switch over, and if it is set up to do that..... i dont speaka da german, so cant tell you which switch!

oh, and welcome
