Earlier installations didn't require the LPG filter to incorporate a shut off solenoid and that may be the one he is refering to. They aren't expensive and it shouldn't cost too much to replace/update. Shop around if you can (once he tells you exactly what needs doing and gives you an estimate). My ...

Try wire brushing them back and treating them but do not disturb any wires that go to the multivalve and do not force/disturb any 'pipes' that seem to connect to the tanks. Long shot here, but most vans have a ECB (earth leakage breaker) unit usually close to the Hook up connector as it enters the van (in a cupboard?) and most have two switches that drop out in the event of a fault. PVA is plenty strong enough for construction of the panels, should clamp to achieve max. strength of joint and leave for several hours. Have the same prob, if I do it twice in succession it goes into first no probs, do it once and its reverse most times. Think the linkage at the box is the problem on mine as I can see the 'white mushroom' and haven't got around to doing it since I discovered that doing it twice solved the problem......

Em, if it doesn't flash on switch on then the problem is more likely to be in the speedo cowling or the led is faulty. First question, does the temperature guage work?
