Re: Internal Charger for Leisure Battery
I've recently fitted one of these Numax ones in place of the old original zig panel. https://www.tayna.co.uk/battery-chargers/numax/leisure-12v-10a/?gad_source=1&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIr6yLkZ_2igMV14lQBh2x9jzPEAQYAiABEgK3J_D_BwE They are brilliant, fit and forget. I ran one in my bay for years with n...

Re: Running Cibie spotlights off leisure battery.
As you will be using them presumably only when you are driving, and you have a working split charge setup, then technically not a problem! You already have a sufficient connection from the alternator via the split charge to the leisure battery anyway. Personally, I would label the wire at the both e...

Re: After Market Head Unit
I 3d printed a spacer for the 7" pull out screen head unit in mine. Fits perfectly now and I don't think looks out of place either.

Re: Best T25 configuration for off grid capacity & practicality
Another thing to think about, the spare wheel holder with a wheel in is part of the crumple zone. I'm not sure an lpg tank there would be the best idea? It’s not , it’s just not part of the accident crash zone , nothing that is removable can be . Urban myth . Fair enough, you learn something new ev...

Re: Ditching the 16A IEC Ceeform for somehting better
Not wanting to put you off the idea of the True 1 connectors, but we use them in work in power distribution systems and we have had 2 fail recently. One burnt out due to poor connection between plug and socket. I've recently replaced the swing out IEC plug on my van, I replaced the whole thing, but ...

Re: Welding and panel working tools
This guy on you tube has helped me massively with improving my skills. His cut and butt method of patching is brilliant, if a little more complex than the norm, but leaves no lap joints where moisture invariably gets trapped.

Re: Starting after being left for a few weeks
Sorry, I think I misread your original post. I read it as you had an electric pump already. No you can't put both in unless you put them in parallel I guess. Best option might be a fuel tap then? Or ditch the mechanical pump and go electric. Go for a rotary pump like a carter rather than a solenoid ...

Re: Starting after being left for a few weeks
I had similar problems with my old bay window running DRLA's. So I installed a fuel tap in the engine bay which helped, but I also wired in a push button on the dash board to prime the fuel system, running the fuel pump, before starting it as mine was setup that the fuel pump wouldn't run unless the...

That's your rear fog light, not your brake light I'm afraid. Very often only fitted on the drivers (RHS) side.

Re: Diesel Heaters
Are diesel heaters quieter than propex heaters? Can they be tapped in to the engine fuel line instead of a seperate tank? Just curious for a future upgrade maybe?

A question about seals. Rubber, not cute furry things.
I've tried and tried to find the info I need, including asking on the Foster and Day FB group, but so far no help. I am needing to replace the door seals on my Foster and Day coachbuilt, the habitation door, and I'm not totally sure what I need. The old seal that goes around the door is a T and bubb...

Re: Engine lid problem
Thanks, I'll give that a try. Do you think the foam will stand a pressure washer or should I just stick to rinsing it with a hose?
Any options for replacing the foam? It's a diesel lid with the moulded black foam.

Engine lid problem
Hi guys, I need some advice. Last month I had a breakdown when the redundant oil filler pipe on my 1z conversion split and dumped oil all over the auxiliary belt which spread it all over the engine and engine bay. Anyway, I've been cleaning, rewiring, replumbing, cleaning and just for fun a bit more...
