Re: Heat exchanger pods cables
I suppose you could attach at a right angle and use the hole closest to the attachment pin?? And turn the screw down bit to face forward- I guess that’s the idea so this product could be used either way ???

Re: Sliding door won't shut
I’m having a problem with mine it slides ok smoothly then stiffens up as it hits the bend unless I give it some welly it doesn’t house - I’m hoping sticking some grease in the runners will do the trick but if not I’ll be looking to adjust it so will be back looking at this thread

Fuel pressure
So I’ve been having problems with what seems like fuel starvation so fitted a new regulator with a gauge - what pressure should I be getting and does it matter about at start up and warm or should pressure remain constant below is what I’m getting - but I haven’t tried to adjust the regulator. https...

Re: The great carb debate
I know your right - I’m just reluctant to spend loads of money on the van in case after all the work I’m still disappointed with the performance I know they are not quick by any stretch but I’m not sure I’m up for holding up lorries on inclines on motorways. I love the idea and simplicity of Aircool...

Re: The great carb debate
I also bought a T25 2.0l Aircooled with the DGV single carb fitted and found it pretty much undriveable when it was cold, what happens in a carburettor is that air and fuel are mixed in a certain ratio which is then drawn into the engine and burnt, without preheated inlet manifold the mixed air and...

Re: The great carb debate
To be fair I bought the van with a view of it being a project, I’m happy to get my hands dirty and change parts (maintenance) but I don’t have the knowledge to diagnose problems - this case seems weird to me had the gases checked as part of tuning - high hydrocarbons unburnt fuel but the breakdown i...

Re: The great carb debate
So an update on the carb issue, so things went from bad to worse took it to a tuning specialist (not rolling road) seems that I have a lot of unburnt fuel/gas from the exhaust - it’s not backfire if or anything but the guy said that there is t anything he can do that is having an effect on that read...

Fuel tank replacement
It would seem I have to replace my fuel tank the van is fuel starved and after some inspection it would seem that the pump works fine - but I’m assuming there is so much crap in the bottom of the tank that the fuel pump when drawing fuel is clogging up the outlet and starving the engine of fuel. So ...

Fuel pressure regulator
I’m having a few problems with fuel delivery to the carb - thinking defo need a new fuel tank after investigation today with the AA Man. But as part of my repairs I’m going to fit a fuel regulator with a gauge so I know what’s being delivered to the carb - any recommendations - it’s a Webber single ...
